The independent MP in the Legislative Council, the head of the Popular Committee Against Siege on Gaza, Jamal El-Khoudary, welcomed declarations of Secretary General of the Arab State League, Dr. Amr Moussa, at the beginning of his visit to Gaza calling for implementation of resolutions of the Arab League to break the siege on Gaza.

El-Khoudary, in a press statement issued on Sunday 13/06/2010, called for convening a special session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers in the Gaza Strip after which an Arab declaration to end the Israeli siege and specify mechanisms to do so should be emanated.

El-Khoudary  pointed out that the Palestinian people wanted Moussa's visit to be a real action towards breaking the siege and opening Gaza crossings, especially as Moussa had the love and support in the Palestinian street because of his support for the Palestinian cause.

He stressed that this important visit had a great role in strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially as all were waiting for the implementation of the Arab League resolutions in this regard and the development of Arab funds allocated for the reconstruction of Gaza, valued to one billion and five hundred-fifty million dollars, into effect.
